Typically you can correlate e6 rates to e5 somewhat accurately. Last year for both ranks 1d7-e were among the highest cutoff career fields (aside from really small career fields). This year e6 1d had a pretty high rate, so fingers crossed we do for e5 as well.

Shreds are assigned later (usually in BMT or tech school), frequently without your input, for all AFSCs except for 1D7. 1D7 shreds are assigned with your recruiter. For instance on my job list do I just put down 1N4X1 and then get assigned 1N3X1A or 1N4X1B or do I have to list both separately as separate jobs?

I would reccomend 1D7x1A,B, and radio. A shred works with all the equipment in comm closets such as switches and routers. It is the most difficult in my opinion. B shred works on the servers and a lot of vulnerabilities on the network.
