On a few occassions with a fully charged battery the low battery charge indicator has appeared on my D700 and I have lost power. After reinserting the battery power is restored and everything is fine. It's happened about half a dozen times over the last few months.

It's also less than perfect in the corners at 24mm. I tend to bring my 85/1.8 along for situations that need more wide open sharpness and better bokeh, and my 16-35 to cover the weakness at 24mm.
