Charleston is a 9/10 for me. Housing: Most people live in Summerville which is about 30 minutes north of the base. Really, Summerville, Goose Creek, Monks Corner, Mt. Pleasant, and West Ashely are all decent places to live for the most part. Just avoid North Charleston unless you really know where your looking.
