I have a 2019 Ford Edge and a 2020 Ford Escape Titanium, both with 2.0 L ICE engines that have a shudder/surge. at around 20 - 25 mph when first starting out with cold engine. My 2019 Titanium 2.0 Escape has for the last thousand miles or so developed a very disturbing "shudder" when driving between 40 and 50 mph, with trans shifted into 6th gear. While driving slowly and with a bit of pressure on the accelerator the car has a distinct vibration.Thought I should post to help others on this board. I have a 2013 titanium 2.0L ecoboost with 95k miles on it and had the same issue. It used to shudder/vibrate/rattle annoyingly at around 1800-2000 rpm at around 35-40 mph while going up a hill with light accelerator pressure. Seemed like it didn't want to downshift.
