He had looked at the gun and seemed interested but was on the fence. I walked over and told the sales kid I'd take it.
IMO (having owned a P DUO and picked up a Prodigy this morning) the Staccato has better build quality. The frame and slide finish is superior, the slide to rail fitment is slightly better (slide racks more smoothly on the Staccato) and the Staccato trigger is slightly crisper and lighter.I really enjoy my Prodigy but it is not a Staccato P. The Staccato is the better gun. I heard more negative reviews about the Prodigy and was very hesitant to buying it, but I haven’t had any problems, no malfunctions to date. ... From a locked back slide, with a loaded 20rd mag in my Staccato P, I was able to depress the 10-8 (OEM to Staccato) slide release, and chamber and fire all cartridges. They will do 2019 to current P's, C2's, and C's. It is not available for previous STI made guns.
