Bowfa should definitely be the very first thing, it will speed up everything you do from now on. And I'd really recommend getting lance before doing any cox if you care about efficiency. And post-bowfa you can do zulrah whenever, technically most efficient to do post-occult but a lot of people might opt to do bowfa only rather than full switches.

yeah it's worth it and it's cheap for the amount of power it has. It's not slight lol. 2% is slight , this is more like 20-30% better it's massive. Depends on what you're killing but in general the bowfa is better. The higher the def level the more of an upgrade bowfa will be, meaning most bossing situations. Elite void is 12,5% damage and 10% accuracy and no ranged bonus. Crystal armor with barrows gloves is 15% damage and 30% accuracy with +70 range bonus. So you'll hit nearly as hard but waaaay less accurate. I'd say plenty better than rcb, prolly gonna be a bit of a struggle if you wanna do ranged only zulrah for example. Zulrah is not quite the boss she used to be. People literally called her the money snake for a good reason, but ever since the blowpipe nerf scales have drop...at the same time, exactly because you can get tons of kc per hour, you will hit a much higher kc before actually feeling burnt out on zulrah, since 50 hours is 1000kc with bowfa only alone, and even more if you're bringing a mage switch, meanwhile something like cg is going to be like 250-300kc (without dying to hunllef) in 50 hours

My pb with bowfa only (with a BP for spec weapon) is 54 seconds. I'm not a speed runner and don't understand ticks super well, but sometimes bowfa go off. I would say average kill time is 1:30-2:00 with 99 range, potted, etc Probably hit 30 sub 1 min kills in 1200k kc with this gear. ge them dragon knives specs boiiii.

You'll get the blowpipe eventually but don't lock yourself there. I literally only use my blowpipe as a healing spec weapon and for tob. Blow pipe for GWD minions . Some other quick tips for new Snake Slayers: Take the best gear you possibly can. It costs nothing to get it back. Always use Ranging potions and Magic potions before you start the fight. The DPS increase is very noticeable. Always make sure your ring of recoil has 30+ charges. This is a MUST when learning Zulrah.Keep in mind if you decide against using your armour with your bowfa, it's a very big accuracy loss and some dps loss. If I were you, when you're not in the mood to do zulrah, maybe send a few cg, afk teaks, so zalcano for shards. Armour upkeep isn't as bad as you think. 4.Bowfa can do anything, you can literally just Bowfa only Zulrah and it's piss easy. It'll fall over in less than 2 minutes, and you can bring more supplies not having to switch. You'd have to be a masochist to sign up for potentially 1k+ zulrah kills without a Bowfa. Just get bowfa pre-zulrah, pipe sucks before masori anyway and the upkeep on it is brutal. Bowfa-only zulrah is definitely the way to go pre-speedrun gear (very distant future). The FBow while on slayer task is the same DPS as full crystal armor off task. The bowfa is pretty bad without the armor. I would never use it without the armor except for shamans if no BP or want to save scales/darts. Nowhere, you need the armour set for it to be good.
