Our Captiva Eagle cam officially went live yesterday morning! Both Connie and Clive are working on fixing up their nest for the season and have been spending increasing amounts of time at the nest every day. Over the next few weeks the pair will be preparing for what we hope to be a wonderful nesting season.

Bald eagles have resided on the Marco Island Nature Preserve property since the 1970's. The Preserve has a new family of bald eagles as of September 2018 and the nesting season has been a great success so far resulting in two eaglets as of February 2019. Calusa seems to be taken with her new mate and has trained him well.
