Test the each TVS with a direct vacuum. The EFE tvs should allow vacuum when the engine is cold and block the vacuum when the engine is warm. Vice versa for the EGR TVS. Just make sure the EGR is on a timed vac port. Your engine will run like crap if the EGR is open at idle. I have a turbo 350 and I have my vacuum modulator hooked up to a t fitting with my brake booster and it runs fine there but I have had it hooked up in the past on the timed vacuum port which as soon as your open up the throttle it gets vacuum anyways and it worked just fine.
