DA70 is a little less power than the GP and is better ona 24x9 Falcon carbon. You should get 7000-7200 on a can, bit more on stock mufflers or tuned pipe. Really any engine from a DA60/DLE61/GP61single to the DA70 and GP76 twins should fly 90inch planes well. a 60 single on a pipe will make it light and floaty, big twin will make it a rocket. A modern 60-70cc mid wing plane will fly differently--much more precise and aggressive for aerobatics and 3D. I currently have a 3dhs slick 89. Super good flying characteristics. I fly some 3D, but certainly not hardcore 3D. I don't see myself doing that anytime soon either. Maybe is a slick 89 overkill for me also. Actually your best bet is to use monokote to trim over ultrtacote. Windex doesnt activate the adhesive on ultracote but does so very well on monokote.

The DA is lighter. 3W has WAY more torque , higher compression, and low end grunt than the DA.. The 3w 110 CS will out perform a DA120. 3w 110 classic is on par with the DA 120. The 3W runs a bit smoother.
