We had an 03 tahoe with the 4.8, That vehicle "never" failed us and we allways enjoyed the room for luggage and kids on roadtrips. The only drawback is that it was extremely under powered. Traded it in on an 08 denali xl and without a doubt is the most comfortable/powerful road vehicle we have ever owned.I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with 190k on it. I started noticing that when I turn the truck on, it is in 4hi or 4lo. When I pushed the switch to put it back in 2hi, the switch would blink and then stay in either 4hi or lo.
