I posted the below in a recent thread on the Virginia Northern Neck Fishing Forum that you might want to check out for other responses on trim tab trolling motors. I had Lenco Trim Tab trolling motors installed on my old boat (Parker 21SE) for about eight years.About 15 mins after the first coat, load up and do it again. A third coat wouldn't hurt, and by now, you should be at least to factory thickness. Fill a pump spray bottle with PVA mold release and mist the entire job, and leave it for 8 hours. The release helps the gelcoat to cure fully.Once i got the actual keel guard off, there was alot of leftover glue/adhesive on the hull. I soaked the whole thing with acetone and gently scraped with a plastic scraper. Once i got the bulk off i soaked a rag with acetone and rubbed most of the rest off. The tooth on the levelwind part my be off you can loosen the screw and make sure the tooth is straight. Worst case just remove the screw and track bar to make it a regular trolling reel.

Then, notch out the PVC where the bar in the bottom of our rod holder is. Then, tie a small rope to your bow rail or console because if something gets hung up on the line, it will break your propstick right in half.

The VA Marine Police don't have jurisdiction outside of the 3 mile limit, and it's not in their best interest politically or economically to clamp down too hard on winter striper fishery because that's the region's bread and butter at this time of year.

Attach a lure to the snap swivel. Finally attach the swivel on the leader to the center snap swivel on the umbrella. Now take it fishing!

Acetone won't harm your gelcoat but it may dull the finish slightly. there may be other compounds/soaps that will do the job easier or better. For the price that you paid for the cover, I would ask the manufacturer of the cover what will remove the color from your boat's finish.
