Xeno vs keymo.

KeyMo is longer, somewhat heavier, but gives a quicker and more positive lockup. Additionally, ASR has gotten stuck on me when hot before, and I've had to wait on cooling before I could break it loose. This is not a problem I've had with KeyMo. Griffin Plan A. Shorter, lighter, and cheaper than both.

Xeno vs keymo. Things To Know About Xeno vs keymo.

If you're opening Pandora's box and considering mounts outside Xeno and Keymo, I'd go Plan A (Griffin). I think it is the most comprehensive system in terms of supported calibers, supported thread pitches, muzzle device styles, adaptor/mount lengths, etc. Tends to be reasonably priced and readily available. In its shortest form, it adds …The baffle system in the Mod 4 is the result of 11 years of Recce 5 development. So the HRT is just the combination of 11 years of baffle system technology and a 13 years pursuing the next mounting system after the M4SD gate lock system. The Xeno Brake and Adapter mate together with left handed threads, eliminating your worries of the adapter unthreading from your silencer when ...Xeno will be shorter/lighter but not a true QD. Keymo is longer/heavier but faster, true QD. Personally, I wouldn't have any use for Keymo. Xeno makes sense on precision rifles. I prefer Plan A/Plan B for most use cases, though. Saving length/weight is top of my QFD. 3.

DT gets old after a while if you have to remove your suppressors for transport/storage/multiple hosts. Bought a Xeno set, seems nice, haven't had time to shoot since install. KeyMo sounds great and all, but the constant OOS and eye-watering muzzle device/mount costs was a major concern.Great mount, lots of folks are starting to realize that while QD looks cool and sounds cool, it's just extra weight. I much prefer taper mounts like Xeno, Q, Rearden, Griffin etc. to QD systems. I'm a Xeno fan. If you like the classic A2 flash hider look at the offerings from Forward Controls Design.

Dec 21, 2020 · If the Xeno production turns into anything like the Keymo production then Plan B + Cherry Bomb is the easy decision. Pricing is also a factor when comparing KeyMo to Plan B. Plan B ($109) + Cherry Bomb ($55) = $164 Xeno Mount ($95) + FH/Brake ($75)(can't find 5/8-24) = $170 Keymo ($225)(if you can find them) + FH/Brake ($60) = $285 The keymo ratcheting system is cool quick and convinient for a secure locked in setup at the cost of length and weight. Their new system is just a threaded taper mount, could be considered less convenient by some and may not be as rock solid of a lockup as the keymo. With that being said, it's shorter and lighter.

The diameter of the Dragon Dead Air mount is slightly smaller at .824 inches compared to .866 of its predecessor. As you move down to the mount, the .824 inches diameter increases to 1.080 inches. The new Dragon is 2.760 inches long, which is .190 inches longer than the original. With the added length and girth, the weight also increased from 3 ...I think that KeyMo is inherently better in that the suppressor is locked in and it's - in theory - not possible for it to walk off. Some of the more popular suppressors that Dead Air makes also come with the KeyMo standard. Xeno on the other had (like you mentioned) is lighter, shorter, and significantly less $$$.Search in titles only Search in The Other Side of the Ranch (Firearms) onlyThe Polonium has industry standard universal "HUB" 1.375×24 rear threads, so you can choose whatever adapter you want that works with your host and muzzle device. KeyMo, ASR, YHM, etc. can all work with HUB. Personally, I like ASR and the locking collar thingy. Understand the rules. Check the sidebar.Keymo is on heavy side, so I have gotten a few lighter mounts within keymo like the micro FH and brake, even the bare device. Still, a Xeno/plan B type option seems like it would be nice, but I'm not in love with the thread on "QD", though for weight savings I could be convinced.

Enticer is half the back pressure of the nomad which is definitely going to make a difference on your DI guns. $300 cheaper + lower back pressure seems like a win to me. As for QD - go with a lightweight taper mount. Rearden or xeno. 5.

May 28, 2022. #2. After seeing the recent thread showing how bad out of spec some of the recent production Area 419 adapters were, causing baffle strikes, I’d stick with the Dead Air brand mounting systems, like KeyMo and XENO. Just my $0.02, take it for what it’s worth. Reactions:jb0311and GMZ.

I don't plan on running it suppressed all that often (that's what SBRs are for). However, I have a few cans - Sandman K and S, Sierra 5 (Xeno) and Nomad TI (Xeno). I'm leaning Xeno for weight considerations - both the system itself as well as the cans themselves.A little background: I'm waiting on the stamp for my first can (Dead Air Sandman S) to be approved. The Xeno is a two-piece, all-composite fastpitch softball bat.The xeno system dead air has seems nice, but it doesn't look like they have anything bigger than a .30 besides the newest threaded taper mount they have, but I want to have either a brake or flash hider as the mount so it has some functionality if the can is off. I like the LH threads too, wish they would have done that on the keymo. The Sandman K was developed for very specific uses. Adding a mere 2.9″ to the end of your muzzle it is your compact companion. The winner of this contest is clearly M-LOK. In fact, the M-LOK system has approximately 3x the industry support as KeyMod. BCM Recce-16, Running.I quickly figured out the keymo doubled the weight of the turbo k and I didn't swap the cans around that much. I built a 14.5" p/w and went to Xeno on the turbo k and ended up having the same overall length and lost a couple ounces between the two uppers. I kept the keymo on the R2 and swap it between the larger calibers (6.5mm, 7.62 etc)On the wolfman all the existing keymo muzzle devices will fit because that can was designed with a large enough blast chamber to accomidate. With the wolf and the ghost 45 you are required to use the key micro because those cans are an older design never originally intended for keymo.Extreme versatility makes it the king of multi-platform shooting. Direct thread simplicity, quick-attach Keymo, accuracy-driven Xeno, pistol boosters, and 3-lug for subgun fun, are all made possible thanks to our industry-standard 1.375"-24 rear threads and our newly engineered HUB to P-Series adapter. The Nomad-30 will be a good all-around can for those 2 rifles. I would opt for KeyMo over Xeno, because I like the ratcheting locking of the KeyMo on a semi-auto/machinegun to ensure it's locked-up tight. KeyMo has shown virtually no POI shift from taking the cans on and off. My POI zero has remained consistent. Also, maybe consider Dead Air Xeno instead of Keymo for a mounting solution.
