Mine's a 2005 with EX trim, AWD, automatic, 136K miles. Some of situations seem to manifest a little differently.The blade will try and stick at that point of changing direction and will make the noise. Get some rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth, soak the cloth really good. Not damp, but wet. Wipe the glass good, flip it over and do the same thing with the other side of the rag. My 2014 Volt makes the same noises when cold and of course has regen braking also. Where you win BIG is brake pad life. My Volt has 242,000 miles on the original brake pads and they look NEW.
