I have an offset smoker from BBQ Pits by Klose out of Houston. The main chamber is 20" diameter by 36" long and 1/4" thick steel. I had to replace the firebox years ago and used new pipe and plate that is 1/4" thick matching the main chamber. I am thinking of making the leap and get a Klose Smoker after about 15 years with a cheap offset. I see that one of the options is a 1/2" thick firebox.
