I have just updated my bios to version M17XR3_A12, and I also updated the Alienware Command Centre to the latest version. I'm now having a problem with the light around the touchpad.It’s broken AF in Windows and has been forever. Modern computers are almost as fast from a cold boot as they are from Sleep, without all the problems. As mentioned, don't use sleep. Try Hibernation instead. It takes a picture of your memory and saves it to the SSD. Not as fast as sleep but much more reliable.
