Join Date: Nov 2011. Posts: 360. Knight original disc and bh209. I have a friend that is wanting to switch from T7 to bh209. We were out shooting the other day and he was having a problem with lag fire and no fire with powder. The gun is an original disc (orange) it would fire twice then we would get a lag between primer and powder burn.

I mostly use a Knight 45 cal 'Elite' for hunting, similar to your rifle. I use the Lehigh breech plug, mine have removable vent liner, but no biggie. The FPJ will make the breech water tight but perhaps is not the best option with BH209. The red FPJ's do stretch during ignition and because of that allow blow back gases to escape into the breech area. Because of this the breech will get dirty, naturally...
