I had finished Pathfinder games before trying out Solasta and it was a shock, going from like 20+ classes, each with 5 sub-classes, bloodlines etc, to a selection of like 5 basic classes. Probably because the game doesn't cheat in your favour. Figths in low level and 1-4 are not the best. Attacking something with an AC of 14 with a +4 to the attack roll is about a 50/50 to hit.
