It was a Fender copy before they really made a variation of there own designs, even had the Fender headstock shape. It was a killer bass, I would rate it quality wise right up there with Japan Fenders of the 80's. The inherent tone of the Katana Bass 210 kind of reminded me of the baked-in character of a Sansamp set fairly clean.
