Never had any experience with a Winchester SX4 I have the Cz 1012 and I use it for a bunch of competitions in less than a year I've shot over 3000 rounds through it without a failure so far I haven't found anything wrong with it can get me up there and 80's 90's on Sporting Clays. Cz 1012 recoil. Hey guys, recently I picked up a cz 1012. 12 gauge, 3", all the normal duck gun stuff. My issue is with recoil, I have 2 other shotguns, a mossberg 935 magnum and an 870 wingmaster. But this 1012 kicks harder than either one of them, it hits harder than my 935 shooting 3 1/2" BB. It hits harder than my bolt action 7mm rem mag.I own a CZ712 Utility, and have shot a 1012.
