Jeep jk running hot.

This is a common problem when doing any kind of cooling system work on a jeep. The JK is well known for being difficult to get all the air out of the system. Often times taking multiple attempts. To start with I would open the radiator cap and make sure it is full, right up to the top. The hot oil warning is not for engine oil, it's for the automatic transmission. Check your transmission fluid level and condition. Also check for any obstruction of the transmission cooler. With that said the JKs do run a but hot (210-226) in my case depending on ambient and load. @Youssefsaafan One other thing you may want to consider is if you are running the most up to date software. Jeep made a change to the fan settings and the gauge read out at some point from what I understand.

Water Pump Failure: A leaking water pump will result in a drop in the coolant level. but when it actually causes your Jeep Wrangler Overheating, it is more likely to be due to a failure of the water pump. The pump is driven by the timing belt which means when there is a problem with one of them, you are likely to have problems with the other one.

Kept getting 0301 and 0306 codes and a rough idle after changing plugs coil packs. Also purchased 1 injector to try and locate a common cylinder issue. Still throwing the check engine light with same cylinder misfires coded. So we know the 2012+ JKs certainly CAN run cooler if they need to. Yet they were designed to run at the temps they run. Must have been a reason.
