I'm running out of Ideas on this Kohler EFI 2 Cylinder Engine (ECH 749-3018)I changed the Ignition Coils, the Injectors, Spark Plugs, Engine Oil and Filters....Surging is always caused by an air : fuel ratio that is too lean to maintain a constant speed. I cleaned the idle control valve earlier and it seemed to fixed it but it started idling high again. The automatic choke seems to be the cause as I can see it opening and closing when this happens. You can try the old school trick of running the engine at full revs and closing the choke until it almost dies. Open the choke and let the engine stabilize. Repeat this process a few times.
