I print ALL my sheets to color, since my is in color. In the case of your Plywood - I would set up the 12mm, 18mm, and 22mm as separate materials; the Appearance would be shared, and the Physical & Thermal would be per material since the different thickness affects those (note- I'm on the architecture side and don't use those often.)
