Hi, I'm thinking of switching platforms from Robinhood to thinkorswim, but I am somewhat reluctant because of my experience with paper trading. I mainly trade options and when trying to open any position, it takes incredibly long to fill. On RH I can buy and sell relatively easily just by opening or closing at the mark, sometimes filling ...TOS is the gold standard IMHO for options trading and has a lot more features than the stripped-down TW (again, some want stripped down). You will find TOS has a learning curve but is well worth it once you get the hang of it. Yes, .65 to open and .65 to close for $1.30 total compared to $1 total for TW.

The problem with Robinhood is now that fees are gone everywhere, there is really no purpose to be using it over established brokerages. It has less features, support, types of securities to buy (think bonds and mutual funds), etc.
