Save. We experienced biggest scam ever at Avis Zagreb! We travelled to Croatia in June and rented our car from Avis as we have been using their service for more than 10 years. We picked our car at Dubrovnik, same routine as usual, examined the car with the staff member and he pointed our the scratches and marked it on the contract.

3 nights each would be a good plan. You have a couple of options. You can do a guided day trip to Mostar from either Dubrovnik and then catamaran to Hvar and the on to Split.. Lots of pine trees in Biograd all along the beach. However, the beach is not natural pebbles. Soline beach is sandy and the rest are pebbles and in the water, a bot rocky. However, Biograd is the most family friendly holiday destination in Croatia IMO.In the Croatian coast, it should be still quite warm. It won't be crowded in October. I was impressed when I used them, but have also been happy with Oryx, Enterprise and Avis. Not too sure about your question about the ferry. Answer 1 of 4: Planning on renting a car in Dubrovnik (most likely at the airport) then driving to Split with a side trip to Mostar. Can anyone recommend a reputable car rental company as well as any to avoid. Day 1 - Fly from Amsterdam (doing our jet lag days there) to Dubrovnik arriving at noon, and drive to Cavtat. Spend the afternoon checking out the town and dinner. Day 2 - Early water taxi to Dubrovnik and walk the walls, have lunch, and explore a bit more in the town. Sleep in Cavtat.
