I just got initiated today as a junior. It's by invite only, and a panel of professors considers GPA and breadth/depth of classes and leadership (I'm skeptical about this part, though). For juniors, if your GPA is below a 3.85, it's much more difficult to get elected, and for seniors it's 3.75.
